ZACHARY LOTT, MSN, ARNP, AGACNP-BC
Zachary Lott, MSN, ARNP, AGACNP-BC graduated magna cum laude with an undergraduate degree in nursing from California State University, Long Beach. He holds a Master of Science Degree in Nursing and a Nurse Practitioner Master’s Certificate from California State University, Long Beach. He received his acute care training at the Keck Medical Center of USC and the MemorialCare Long Beach Medical Center. He is licensed as a Nurse Practitioner and in Public Health. He is board-certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center in Adult-Gerontology Acute Care. He is a member of the American Heart Association Council on Lifestyle and Cardiometabolic Health and the National Lipid Association. He holds certifications as a provider of the Bale-Doneen Method and by the Academy of Preventative and Innovative Medicine.
NP Lott’s post-graduate education includes an informal fellowship in functional, anti-aging, and regenerative medicine. He was trained in advanced bio-identical hormone replacement therapy by Neal Rouzier, M.D. and trained in heart attack, stroke, and diabetes prevention by Brad Bale, M.D. and Amy Doneen, DNP. He has a background in adult critical care, working at the bedside of the sickest and most unstable patients in the hospital. He was motivated by his critical care experience to find a treatment approach that aims to prevent those under his care from becoming as sick as those he saw in the intensive care unit.
NP Lott prevents and treats disease with an integrative approach to holistic care. He understands the importance of diet, exercise, sleep, and hormones in the role of the aging process and in the prevention of disease. Through his approach to wellness, he individualizes treatment to each person under his care with the use of specialized diagnostics, lifestyle management, genetic testing, and both allopathic and complementary medicine.
NP Lott is a decorated Marine Corps veteran who completed his service in the Fleet Marine Force with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for valor for his actions in combat in 2003 during Operation Iraqi Freedom. His military career also included two overseas deployments, numerous personal and unit awards, and of multiple specialized training courses. NP Lott gives back to the military community by doing pro bono work for disabled military veterans.
BARBARA LEVY, M.D., FACOG, FACS
Barbara Levy, M.D., FACOG, FACS graduated magna cum laude with an undergraduate degree in psychology from Princeton University. She obtained her medical degree from the University of California, San Diego, followed by an internship and residency in ob-gyn at the University of Oregon Health Sciences Center (now the Oregon Health & Sciences University) in Portland. Dr. Levy is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, an honorary Fellow in the Royal College and a member of the North American Menopause Society. She has published and co-authored over 85 studies and articles related to her primary research interests, which include menopause and hormonal issues, endoscopic surgery, pelvic pain, surgical outcomes, and physician payment policy.
Dr. Levy, is a lifelong advocate for advancing the quality of women’s health. She was elected as the first female President of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) in 1994-1995. She cared for patients in private practice practicing comprehensive holistic women’s health for over 30 years. She served as the Medical Director for Women’s and Children’s Services for the Franciscan Health System in Washington State. She also served two terms as Chair of the American Medical Association Resource Based Relative Value Scale Update Committee (RUC), and she is currently an editorial panel member for CPT. She has served as a reviewer and editor for several medical journals, including Obstetrics & Gynecology, American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Journal of the American Medical Association, Journal of Minimally Invasive Gynecology, and Fertility and Sterility.
In 2012, Dr. Levy joined the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) as the first full-time Woman Physician Leader as the Vice President of Health Policy. At ACOG, Dr. Levy directed the expansion of the Advocacy Division to support the Office of Global Women’s Health reducing maternal mortality and building sustainable women’s health structures in several countries. She built quality, safety and informatics teams dedicated to supporting improvement in health care for women in the US and launched the Birth Registry to improve inequities in maternity care. Dr. Levy also supported and grew ACOG’s commitment to contraceptive access, postpartum contraception, and menopause management.
Dr. Levy has been a vocal advocate for women’s health with appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show and multiple other media outlets. Her clinical work remains focused on evidence-based, equitable, comprehensive care for women throughout their life course.
